“All the customer wants is to hear you to say, as I hear you. I'm going to look into it and I will get back to you as soon as I can…They could be losing their job. They could be losing hundreds of thousands of dollars every minute that website is down during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This is real-life stuff…so, I think the important part was, for me, and it gave me an opportunity to get in front of my company, to train people, to share what I had learned. It created a really great culture for us. I mean, we were real, I don't know how else to put it.”

Rich was the Founder, CEO and President of Lyons Consulting Group (LYONSCG), the industry's premier eCommerce Digital Agency and Global Commerce Service Provider. Rich was responsible for leading the company’s strategy and vision as well as working closely with customers, including GoPro, Patagonia, Herman Miller, the Gap, FILA, Tourneau, Allen Edmonds, FootJoy, and many more. He brings more than 20 years of experience in IT and Digital consulting, and over 30 years of experience in business development.

In November of 2017, LYONSCG was acquired by Capgemini. Rich served as the EVP, Digital Commerce Experience Leader for North America for Capgemini, defining the Go-To-Market for Customer Experience, including Marketing and Content, Sales, Service, and Commerce. Rich was also the Global Offer Leader for Commerce, defining the Go-To-Market for Commerce for Capgemini globally. And given his strength in establishing and growing alliances and partnerships, Rich was asked to take on the role of Leader of North American Partners & Channels, leading the major hyper-growth initiatives for Capgemini’s most important partners (Salesforce, AWS, Microsoft, SAP, Adobe, Google, and others) and setting ambitious goals to grow $1B+ practices over the next 3 years.

Rich separated from Capgemini in November of 2021, 4 years after the acquisition of LYONSCG. Rich now serves on Advisory Boards and does consulting in the eCommerce ecosystem. Rich is also an expert in sales and business development. He is finishing his first book, and he has launched a sales training and coaching platform to help salespeople and early-stage entrepreneurs to improve their sales processes and accountability, and to grow their sales teams. www.lifeissales.com

Rich graduated with a BSEE from the University of Michigan and holds an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Rich has been married for over 30 years to his wife Dr. Gertrude Lyons, and he is the proud father of 2 independent and contributing daughters.
