Managing parent and child categories to enable site navigation.

Add Parent Category

  1. Enter the category name in +Add new field
  2. Press Return / Enter key

Add Child Category

  1. Click on the parent category 
  2. A list of current child categories will appear to the right of the selected category
  3. Enter the category name in +Add new field
  4. Press Return / Enter

  1. Click the three vertical dots next to the category you want to edit
  2. Select the option you need
    1. Rename
    2. Edit item
    3. Delete
    4. Enable / Disable

 

Edit Item

Through the Edit item dialog box you can access and edit the following information 

  • Add / Update Category name
  • Enable / Disable
  • See Parent
  • Provide a relative URL

Enable / Disable

Only enabled Categories appear on the site.  New Categories are Disabled by default.  Categories can be Enabled / Disabled either from the Category menu or the Edit Item dialog box
